After the Hispanic Heritage Month (Sept 15 – Oct 15), the Halloween season is on!
This month, the Dragons (6e) explored Tim Burton’s magical worlds. The Pheonixes (5e) discovered witchcraft from Salem’s Trials to pop culture representations.
And, of course, we decorated our classroom!
Our assistant Lilith and I (Ms Ecochard) were invited to a seminar about media education organized by Fulbright (commission franco-américaine). We had the chance to visit the Maison de la Radio – Radio France. It was animated by the CLEMI (Centre pour l’Education aux Médias et à l’Information) and we learned a lot!

I am really proud to show you the students’ last assessments. We were working on Inside Out and feelings. They had to choose an emotion, draw it, describe it and present it. As a bonus, they could create their own mind map.

Je suis très fière de vous montrer les dernières évaluations des Dragons. Nous travaillions sur Vice Versa et les émotions. Ils devaient choisir une émotion, la dessiner, la décrire et la présenter. En bonus ils pouvaient créer la carte mentale de leur esprit.

Today, our students attend their first trained MUN conference. Throughout the year, they will receive training that will enable them to present a simulation of a United Nations debate.
This morning, they learnt about geopolitic, diplomacy and the objectives of the project. They identified a series of worldwide tensions.
The next stage will help the students to choose their topic of study.

All of the section students embarked on an enriching excursion to the cinema. Our destination? The Festival Lumière, a celebration dedicated to the captivating world of cinema. After a fascinating introduction by the renowned Radio France journalist Guillemette Odicino,, we delved into the enchanting tale of « Moonrise Kingdom » by Wes Anderson. This heartwarming story follows the adventurous escapades of two children through a picturesque island. The film captivated us all. Following the screening, we went for a delightful picnic at place Antonin Poncet, near Bellecour.
Tous les élèves de la section sont partis en excursion au cinéma. Notre destination ? Le Festival Lumière, qui honore l’art du cinéma. Après une présentation particulièrement intéressante par la célèbre journaliste de Radio France Guillemette Odicino, nous avons plongé dans le conte enchanté de « Moonrise Kingdom » de Wes Anderson. Il s’agit de la douce histoire de deux enfants qui partent à l’aventure à travers une île pittoresque. Le film nous a tous captivés. Après la projection, nous avons partagé un sympathique pique-nique place Antonin Poncet, à côté de Bellecour.
